LT 9 - To Mother Marie de Gonzague - November-December, 1882.

November-December, 1882 (?)

Dear Mother,

It has been a long time since I saw you, so I am very happy to write you to tell you about my little affairs. Pauline told me you were on retreat, and I'm coming to ask you to pray to little Jesus for me because I have many faults and want to correct them.

I have to make my confession to you. For some time, I am always answering Marie back when she tells me to do something. It seems when Pauline was little and when she made excuses to Aunt at Le Mans, Aunt used to say to her: So many holes, so many pegs! But with me it's even worse. So I want to correct myself, and, into each little hole, put a pretty little flower which I'll offer to little Jesus to prepare myself for my First Communion. Won't you, dear Mother, pray for this? Ohl yes, this beautiful moment will come quickly, and how happy I shall be to have so many flowers to offer Him when the little Jesus comes into my heart.

Au revoir, dear Mother. I kiss you tenderly; how I love you.

Your little daughter Thérésita
