Souvenir of the most beautiful of days. . .the day containing and confirming all the graces Jesus and Mary granted their beloved Céline....

Through love, Céline will henceforth press to her heart the thorns of suffering and contempt, but she has no fear because she knows from experience that Mary can change into milk the blood flowing from wounds made by Love. ...

Céline is pressing the thorns with her left hand, but with her right she is embracing Jesus, the divine bundle of myrrh resting on her heart.

Céline will bring forth souls for Him alone, watering the seeds with tears, and Jesus, always joyful, will carry the sheaves of Lilies in His hands. . ..

The four little cherubim, whose wings hardly touched the earth, run and contemplate their dear sister with delight. They hope to share in the merits of her sufferings by coming close to her, and, in return, they are making the immaculate brightness of the innocence and all the gifts the Lord gave them gratuitously reflect on her.

February 24 - March 17, 1896. Thérèse of the Child Jesus of the Holy Face rel. carm. ind.
