LT 250 - to sr Marie of Saint Joseph. July (?), 1897.

J.M.J.T.

I hope Sister Geneviève has consoled you; it is the thought that you are no longer grieved which makes mine disappear!... Ah! how happy we shall be in heaven; then we shall share in the divine perfections, and we shall be able to give to all without being obliged to deprive our dearest friends!... God has done well not to give us this power on earth; perhaps we would have wished not to leave it, and then it does so much good to recognize that He alone is perfect, He alone must be enough for us when it pleases Him to take away the branch supporting the little bird! The bird has wings, it is made for flying!
