LT 64 - To M. Martin

LT 64     From Thérèse to M. Martin.

October 8-15 ?, 1888

My dear King,

I would like to write you a long letter, but I am on retreat and this is impossible. You don’t know how much your little Queen loves you!… Having to send a letter to the daughter of the King, Princess Léonie, I thought I could not have my message reach her but through the King himself, so it is for this reason that I am addressing myself to His Majesty , the King of France and Navarre. If his dignity does not appear in the eyes of men, I know myself that in heaven it will be shown to the eyes of God. Then the least of the Elect will be like the head of a numerous people, and my King, oh ! what a place !...

Your little Queen
