From Sister Marie-Dosithée Guérin to Mrs. Martin. 21st March 1861


*[r°] (… ) to have your merchandise on consignment, or even that for orders you are obliged to rely on him to deliver them, I would not like an arrangement of that kind. You cannot be too careful, I assure you. Believe me, do not rely too heavily on the airs and graces of Parisian Merchants, you may well regret it, and what’s more I would like to know if the people he sells to are solvent.

I advise you not to come with your

My Father brings me more and more joy, oh! How I love him! Give him all my love, and also to my brother, despite everything.
