Madam

Our Most honoured Mother has tasked me to tell you that the condition of our dear Sister Marie-Dosithée has not markedly worsened as Pauline wrote. The illness undoubtedly seems to be following its course, however your dear daughter yesterday exaggerated her aunt’s condition; we have had her understand this. If a considerable worsening was detected, we would notify you of it, dear Madam.

In the meantime we continue, in trust, to unite our prayers with yours, dear Madam, and with those of all your esteemed family, whom we also commend to Our Lord. Please, Madam, kindly tell your dear Marie that we haven’t forgotten her, that we continue to love her and also your good little Léonie; and be assured, Madam, of my entire and most affectionate dedication in Our Lord.
