Services to the Court of Jesus the King

 

Each person will make a careful effort to render the employment that will be rendered during the year; that is to say, to practice the virtues expressed in the ticket.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be at the crèche, making a large room in your heart to forget about yourself and creatures in order to receive Jesus.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be the hay of the crèche, in view of your poverty and the admission of your nothingness, confessing that only by approaching Jesus you will fortify your weakness.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be his mother, conceived in your heart by faith, and doing in all things his holy will.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be his nourishing father, through the care that you will take in pleasing him in all things, and the fidelity of your service.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be of aid to St. Joseph, loving ordinary things, in imitating his hidden life, in his fervor, his silence and his continual life of prayer.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be his spouse, through conformity with his poor status, abject and suffering, that you will together dispose of in your perfect union.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be his favorite, to break all commerce with creatures, so to be worthy of the secret of his love.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be the lamp of the crèche, made ardent by charity and luminous through good works.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be the lamp of the crèche, refusing your heart entry for anything other than God, and you will be continuously listening in order to open when he knocks on your door.

To light the fire, in view of the excess of his love for you, and to expose you heart to be inflamed by the divine Spirit.

To be the perfume, joined to mortification, humility and prayer, in order to bear the traces of Jesus Christ

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be his nurse, reserving for him only all the tenderness of your heart and serving your neighbor with an ardent charity and lack of self-seeking.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be the Angel of the stable, having a saintly diligence before his presence, and a complete purity that will render you worthy of viewing the divine King in his newborn beauty that love itself has donned for him.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be one of the shepherds watching over the flock of you passions and thoughts, to govern them with the crook of reason and of the will of God.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be [another] shepherd who offers him a lamb, representing your heart as if it were a victim of obedience, remaining without rejoinder when you deposit the fleece of your own will.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be [another] shepherd who entertains with song, playing a harp the canticle of pure love through a perfect submission to the good pleasure of God.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be a king, to offer the myrrh of perpetual mortification, suffering with joy the incisions that love will make in your heart in order to make for more abandonment.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be a king, to offer him the incense of fervent prayer, you will allow yourself to be annihilated by his love as incense is consumed by fire.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be the servant of his Mother, through a faithful imitation of her virtues, you will glorify in being a slave in the house of God.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be an officer of silence, removing from your heart the noise of creatures, so that you will be attentive to the loving murmurs of Jesus.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To sweep and perform housekeeping for the stable, with loving care in order to take from your heart all that may diminish your purity and innocence.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To wrap him up warmly in rich cloths with the pure intention of pleasing him in all things.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To go out for a stroll, through the continual remembrance of his presence, and a docility to follow the movements of the Holy Spirit.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To kiss his sacred feet, for humble adoration of his lowly state, and a sincere love of humiliation.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be the companion of Jesus, you will identify with his poverty, the contempt shown him, and his sorrow; it is in this company that he finds consolations [delights].

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To watch over him, through great fidelity in order to observe moments of grace and you will carefully listen to him to anticipate his comfort.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To offer two turtle doves for the humiliation of your spirit and in contrition of your heart for the many times you have neglected or shown contempt in the pursuit of his love.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To find milk for him, through the fidelity that prompts you to sigh over your smallest faults, knowing that there is nothing that he will find as nourishing as the tears from a heart broken with sorrow and wounded by his love.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To wash his eating dishes, through a great fidelity that will maintain your heart pure, fleeing hypocrisy and from that which only cares for the external.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To calm the little Jesus; you will not be able to do this except by perfectly focusing upon him, your outpourings towards creatures will excite their sighs and moaning.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To rock him, by the fidelity with which you will follow the attraction of his grace, to stay in his presence and to eliminate from your heart the noise of creatures.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To be a soldier on guard, having a generous courage to combat all that opposes your designs upon his love; you will have as a motto: “I fight for love”.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To warm his linens, summoning up in your heart an ardent charity, a living faith and a strong hope, before receiving the Holy Eucharist.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To contemplate the beauty of his divine eyes, you will strive to penetrate the gentleness of his looks, and you will never stray from his divine presence.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To collect his precious tears, keeping them in your heart, they will be balm, and will excite a sense of divine reverence.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To perfume the crèche with lilies and roses, spreading a thousand times a day all the most pure, tender and ardent affections of your heart.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To adore the extreme love that his heart has for your own that makes him make loving and tender cries to soften the hardness [of your own heart], give him in return all that your heart has of love.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To admire the ravishing beauty of his divine mouth, adore him with your silence that his love makes you maintain, meditating upon his eternal Wisdom will be your occupation, your light and your love.

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To adore his divine power, that through his love it is rendered captive for you, pray that he will reign sovereign over your heart, and do not make a point of limiting your abandon to his love; say often: “I am at your mercy.”

You will render as service to the Court of Jesus the King
To present him often with doves, burning away from your heart all natural sentiments in order to honor his innocence, his purity, his simplicity.
