Convent door

The convent door, entrance door to the convent for the Carmelites. The door is wooden with no outer door handle or lock on the exterior side.

Thérèse crossed this door on April 9, 1888 and her coffin on October 4th, 1897.

Recent photo of the same door, seen from the side of the Carmelites with its 2 deadbolt locks and 3 keyhole locks.

Across from the convent door was found a door opening onto the outside. In the background we can see the chapel wall. This is where M. Martin knelt to bless his daughter before her entrance.
