From Céline to Thérèse - December 24, 1889
From Céline to Thérèse. (Fragments.)
December 24, 1889
My dear little Thérèse,
Your Céline is sending you a little souvenir for your little Christmas crib; she did not want this feast to bring nothing to "her heart ..." My own Thérèse, Th. .. .
Tomorrow, Les Buissonnets will no longer be ours. I was there, yesterday, to visit it for the last time. I took some moss and some branches for my crib .... As a souvenir, not finding the smallest flower, I took several ivy leaves. This is the souvenir of so many souvenirs!!!. . .
The little ivy leaf was detached from Les Buissonnets, but it will wrap itself around Jesus!. . .
Thérèse! your little Céline loves you!. . .
I kiss Marie and Pauline ....
