Darling little sister,

Just a line, darling little Sister, to say that your letter dated 31st May brought me great pleasure because I understood that you feel exactly the same as we do.

Oh! When I reply to letters expressing enthusiasm for our little Saint, I do so uniquely for God! Ah! In Him alone can you really find rest, and for Him alone can you practice charity to your neighbour.

On that note, Fr Mayeul has just sent us 4 great long pages, and Our Mother doesn’t even have time to read them. And people keep snowing us under like this! It doesn’t half make us long for heaven. I do believe that God does it on purpose to detach us from this poor earth.

But on the other hand, He attaches us more and more to our little Visitandine and to her dearly beloved Mother Prioress. On behalf of Our Mother I thank her for her last latter. I can see she understands us perfectly.

Farewell, little sister. Today the Bl. Sacrament is exposed, so I must leave you. No news, you know everything from reading the Annals. Yet the annals don’t tell you something which you’ve known for a long time, and that is that I love you with all my heart and that’s why I wanted to drop you a line today and tell you so once more.

Not all the Comm. was on a meat diet for the Canonisation, just a few who were tired were. And as our 5 Turn Sisters are eating meat there only needs to be a couple of others in the Comm. for it to result in a meat dinner for 10 people.

Let’s let the world talk and not worry about its tales.

Farewell dear little sister. Remember me to your two dear Mothers.

Your eldest sister.

Sr Marie of the S. Heart
