LT 240 - to Sister Marie of the Trinity - June 3 (?), 1897.
June 3 (?), 1897 J.M.J.T. Dear little flower of Jesus, I understood everything very well; know that it is not necessary that you speak to me at length about it. The little eye that is in your calyx indicates to me what I must think of the whole little flower. ... I am very happy, very much consoled, but you must no longer desire to eat earth; the forget-me-not must half-open or rather lift its corolla so that the Bread of Angels may come like a divine Dew to strengthen it and to give it all that it is lacking. Good night, poor little flower, believe that I love you more than you can imagine!
