LT 53 - To Céline - June 17, 1888

LT 53                  From Thérèse to Céline.

June 17, 1888

Sunday, June 1888

My dear Céline,

You would be very nice to send me as soon as possible the material you bought for making yourself an apron. I would need, too, the Scotch cincture you had in which you dressed up. Send

me, too, all the white ribbons you have; there is one I had around my head on the day of my First Communion. You can also take the one off the bonnet. . . . All this is for representing St. Agnes. . . .

Dear little sister, how good God is to you! If you could only see what a grace you received on Friday. 1 believe really that this is the grace you were awaiting. You know, you used to say to me: but I have not received any definite grace. I am convinced that you have this grace. Now you must be all for Jesus; more than ever He is all yours. He has already placed on your finger the mysterious ring of the espousals. He wants to be the sole master of your soul.

Dear sister, we are truly Sisters in the full strength of the term. Adieu; from a distance, my heart is reading your heart.

Thérèse of the Child Jesus

Kiss my incomparable King for me.
