Monsieur Henri Pranzini

Born in Livourne, Italy in 1856, guillotined in Paris on August 31, 1887.

Accused of murdering two women and a child, he was condemned to death on July 13th, 1887.

Thérèse employed “all means possible” to keep him “from falling into hell”, as she spoke of in Ms. A, folio 45 v°.

Pranzini was executed in Paris on August 31st after having requested and kissed the crucifix of the prison chaplain who helped him. In her manuscript, Thérèse called him her “first child.”
