J. M. J. T. 1 These worthless quatrains
Are a sad feastday bouquet,
For, alas! your "Alexandrines"
Have stayed in the back of my head!...
2 You had to have, I recollect,
"Some Alexandrines for Francis."
I should have keep silent
Before such a precise order...
3 But knowing well the indulgence
Of Jeanne and the Learned Doctor,
I'll step forward without Alexandrines
To fête my Lovable Sister.
