Father Adolphe-Jean-Louis-Eugène Roulland,

priest of Missions Etrangères of Paris.

Born October 13th, 1870 at Cahagnolles, died June 12th, 1934 at Dormans.    

While a seminarian, he asks the Lisieux Carmel for a spiritual sister. Mother Marie de Gonzague choses Thérèse. Ordained a priest on June 28th, 1896, he comes to Carmel on the following July 3rd and talks to Thérèse in the parlor. He leaves for China on August 2nd where he will correspond with Thérèse and the prioress of Carmel. Called back to France in 1909, he will be a witness in both of Thérèse’s Processes.
