Holy Day of Easter 1928 [8th April]

. . . . Let us sing Alleluia despite all opposition in this valley of tears. Our holy Chaplain’s departure for heaven has left a large void, but, as we grow older, we see things in an altogether different light. Jesus, our divine sufficiency, represents everything to us, and what’s more, “all that passes away with time is trivial,” says the author of the Imitation. – Our beloved Mother’s health is stable despite all the shocks. We attribute this manifest grace to her heavenly nurse. God always adapts trials to match His children’s strength so that they are not overwhelmed.

Thank you so much for the magnificent album of the Canonisation. The portrait on the first page is alive. Little Céline has surpassed herself.

Her fifty-ninth birthday on the 28th won’t go unnoticed in my heart.
