From Sr Francoise-Therese (Leonie) to her three Carmelite sisters - February 12th 1929

V+ J! From our monastery in Caen this 12th February 1929

Beloved little sisters,

We are touched beyond words by your great generosity. It allows us, to our dear Mother’s great joy, to spread more devotion to our matchless little Thérèse, because people instinctively come to the Visitation, as they do to the Carmel, to request keepsakes of our darling saint. So thank you in her name and in ours for making her known and loved in this way, and for contributing to the great glory of God and the good of souls, according to her Mission.

Like you, darling little sisters, we are thrilled with the lovely pastoral letter from our holy Bishop. I’m so happy he is our Superior. We found him very tired. Let us pray that his health can keep up with his zeal.

I’m praying with all my strength for the recovery of the dear Trappist friar, your manifest benefactor. I was hoping for a note from you, darling eldest sister, before Lent. If only you knew how much I love you . . .

I send kisses to all three of you from the bottom of my spoilt little heart.

A big thank you to our dear little shopkeeper for giving so unsparingly to her little Sisters at the Visitation.

Sr Françoise-Thérèse Martin
