                14th May 1933

Dear little sisters,

We were ever so closely united with you yesterday to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the day the Virgin of the Smile appeared to our angelic little sister! We are sending you the hymn and music that we sing every year to our gentle Heavenly Mother under this new name on 13th May. It was composed for a religious profession ceremony at our 1st Visitation Monastery in Paris by one of our Sisters. – The delightful Virgin of the Smile was exposed for worship in its charming little aedicule on the altar in the ante-choir, which is where we celebrate Mary’s month. The pictures of the vision have been distributed amongst the Sisters, and they are very happy to have been spoilt again by the dear Carmel.

. . . . On the eve of Pentecost (3rd June) I will be 70 years old.

From your old little sister whose heart remains very warm and loving.
