From sr Francoise-Therese (Leonie) to her three sisters in the Carmel - June 7, 1938

V + J! From our Caen monastery this 7th June 1938

Darling little sisters,

I felt your presence on my 75th birthday ever so clearly. Yes, we really are but one heart and soul in our Beloved Jesus, even in exile. The eternal face to face to come can’t be far away now. Little Céline, how I do love you! If only you knew how much! All four of us are fused into one entity in the adorable and loving Trinity. We can say in all truth, in the words of our dear little Thérèse, “in heaven we shall see God, true, but as for being in His presence, we are already very much there here on earth.”

It’s with indescribable joy that I gaze upon my little boat as it races at full sail through the golden trough of the wave. It’s encouraging to see I’m not far from Port.

Beloved little sisters, physical frailties are nothing when one have high moral, don’t you think? Thanks to God, this is the case for the four of us. I’m pleased that Marie of the Eucharist’s fortune reached you intact. Jeanne had no right to it. Otherwise, it would have been a crying injustice, never mind the rest. Our divine Spouse had nowhere to rest His head, and we, His chosen and blessed servants, have received the hundredfold recompense promised by Him, don’t you agree?

We haven’t forgotten the feast days of dear Sisters Marie of the Holy Spirit and Marie of the Trinity. They can both count on having a Communion from their tiny little sister.

With fond kisses to my increasingly beloved Trio

Sr Françoise-Thérèse

I would like news of your poor patients. Has my homonym dear Sr Françoise-Thérèse recovered her hearing?
