From Sr Francoise-Therese (Leonie) to her two Carmelite sisters - October 16th 1940

V + J! This 16th October 1940

Darling little sisters,

Yes, I would have liked to have the Constitutions relating to our holy Aunt, but what can I say, one must detach oneself from all things on this sad earth . . .

Little sisters, if only you knew the pleasure with which I gave out the delightful pious pictures of our little saint. Our Sisters are so pleased to have one each. – The little note from darling Céline touched me deeply. What affection you have for your little old sister! She reciprocates, I assure you.

I’ll write more next time, much-loved little sisters. Today I’m too tired to talk about my retreat, which I felt was my last. Still, at least my heart isn’t growing old. On the contrary, it grows in love.

Your little visitandine, who aspires only for the eternal reunion in heaven,

Sr Françoise-Thérèse
