From sr Francoise-Therese (Leonie) to her three sisters in the Carmel - March 19, 1929

Long live + Jesus Christ!

[19th March 1929]

I deeply urge my dear little sisters of the Carmel of Lisieux, after my death, to kindly leave to the dear Visitation of Caen, of which I have the honour of being a member, all the relics and keepsakes of my holy little sister Thérèse of the Child Jesus that were given to it on my account. In addition, it is my ardent wish that all the letters that our darling Saint addressed to me remain at the said Monastery as its exclusive property.

There is therefore only the Crucifix of our saint, the enjoyment of which is mine only for the duration of my lifetime, which must be returned to the said Carmel, after having received my dying breath.

I trust fully and completely that these highly legitimate wishes will be respected.

Sister Marie-Françoise-Thérèse Martin.

On the feast day of the glorious Saint Joseph, this 19th March in the year of grace 1929.

Blessed be God.
