Darling little sister,

Sending you the enclosed copy of a letter that our Mother wrote will tell you how much I’m thinking about you, because time has seemed to go slowly for me recently. I’m going to go back to preparing my testimony because it’s possible that I will testify after Sr Marie of the S. Heart, according to my rank. “Marie” has already begun testifying for “Thérèse”. She doesn’t think it will take her very long, and the gentlemen of the court are very averse to having Carmelites leave the monastery. Fr Dubosq has promised he’ll come back in February for a fortnight. If he does, I’ll think we’ll manage, because our three testimonies are the only ones that are long here. You’re going to be disappointed, darling little sister, and I ask you to forgive me for raising your hopes. As for me, I would be disappointed, if the trip hadn’t seemed like a nightmare to me. I couldn’t get used to the idea. It was so frightening that not even the counterbalancing joy could make me look forward to it. Still, I surrender myself into God’s hands. All things happen according to His will, for His glory and that of Thérèse.

I send you my love, darling little sister. We currently have many people to pray for, and a great deal of work to do, so you would be good to send my account or a copy of it back, so that I can pass it on to others who are avid for news. Best wishes to your dear Mother.

Your little sister Geneviève of St Teresa
