              Darling little sister,

I can’t tell you how happy we were to see you again. We’ve talked about nothing but you ever since. Your visit further strengthened the bonds between us and now our inner lives will be more similar than ever. After all, no matter what mishaps befall us outwardly, our goal is the same, and we will reach it sooner than we think. Then we will be reunited for eternity, never again to be parted.

Darling little sister, the whole community has kept very happy memories of you and we love the order of the Visitation more for knowing it better. If everything about us pleased you, then everything about you pleased us, and the edification was reciprocal.

As for you, if we are all that you love most in the world, then you are all that we love the most. Darling little sister, I’m so happy to have seen you again! Now it seems that there’s nothing left for us to do but run along the path of sacrifice and self-abnegation, because these are the only real sources of joy for us. God has been so generous to us; it is only right that we should refuse Him nothing!

I would have liked to send you the photographs that I’ve developed of us and of you on your own, but they aren’t ready because I’ve had to reduce then increase the intensity of my negatives, and then test them, and all this takes time, which, even with the best will in the world, can’t be sped up. Yet you’ll have them in a few days.

We can’t remember whether or not we showed you the library. And yet it is lovely!

Have you passed on our messages to your dear Mother? You must tell her that we love her dearly and give her a kiss from us. Our Mother would like to know where we might purchase some hair clippers because they must be very useful.

I send you a kiss, my darling sister, and I love you with all my heart.

Your little sister
