Darling little sister,

I'm writing to wish you a happy feast day. You know what I wish for you, and what divine gift I will offer you on the 29th.

I'm not going to have time to write much today, because Rev. Father Marie-Bernard is here for the statues and all my time is taken up. You know that, for her feast day, I offered Our Mother a delightful statuette of Thérèse sitting, like the one of her in the garden, with her hands joined together on her lap. The priest is coming to collect it so that he can finish it and have it moulded. Then he will begin another one; “Thérèse with the Roses” probably. After that, he will do “Thérèse with the Harp”. I assure you that our little saint is in good hands with this holy friar and his statues will be as effective as any sermon.

I also wanted to tell you that we have made several essential little improvements to the poem about the “Little Way”. When you have the opportunity, you could send us your little notebook so that we can correct it and then send it back to you. We will also have some very special and pretty songs that a very artistic priest is composing for us. There will be 3 of them. I’ll send them to you when I have them and you can learn them.

The Rev. Carmelite friars from Rome are enthusiastic about the “Little Way”. They have offered a copy of it to the Holy Father in a beautiful album that we made. They would like us to have the authorisation to publish it.

Goodbye, dear little Léonie. I love you will all my heart, as you know, and I also send you a great big kiss.

Your little sister

Sr Geneviève of the Holy Face
