Darling little sister,

Since my letter hasn’t yet left, I’m going to add a little note and send you these photos of the little chapel in Alençon. On the right of one of them, you’ll see the railings through which people can see the bedroom where Thérèse was born.

The bed from before has been put back into place. It has cherry red curtains, as does the window. At the end of the bed, a statue of the Bl. Virgin of the Smile has been set against a gold banner. Opposite, on the mantelpiece, there is a carved display case containing some baby clothes that our little saint wore: a little bonnet, vest, bib, and small cloak. The room also contains the baby chair, Mamma’s desk chair and the little pedestal table (from the study at Les Buissonnets). Apparently it’s very well arranged and the chapel looks delightful. Many people go there. On the altar, there is a scene in stone showing the manger in Bethlehem and our little saint scattering flowers over the divine child. I send you all my love, darling little sister

Do you know what happened to the crib?
