                                                   1st November 1928

Darling little sister,

We were very upset to hear that you were sick. How are you? I think of you every day and I’d like to know if your poor feet are better. You said that you are not brave but I think you are, extremely so. I imagine that I would be much less brave than you, but I wouldn’t faint, that’s all, because I’ve never done so before!

Little Léonie, your little “Céline flower” brought me great pleasure. You were the only one to offer me one, and in so doing, you imitated Thérèse who never forgot. These flowers, which are really called “Asters”, follow me around, because on St Celine’s day, 21st October, we read “St Aster” in the martyrology. All our Sisters have pointed this out to me!

Goodbye, darling little sister. Send me your news quickly

Your little Céline
