Dear little sister,

I’m sending you the photos of the new buildings and new garden. They are in order and annotated on the back. They took me quite a long while, so I don’t have much time left to write to you, but enough to send you a kiss and remind you that I love you with all my heart.

I still have a photo of the inside of the “Gloria” room to send to you. It will come in time (I didn’t think it was ready, but I can enclose it with the others). I can’t remember whether I told you that it was a large room in which all the Canonisation and papal memorabilia are being collected, such as gifts from Pope Pius XI, decree, etc.

Beloved little sister, like you, I languor after the Homeland but do so in great compliance with divine will. Of course I ardently desire to be there but this desire is secondary to what God wants for me. If He’s not the one to “say it first”, it’s not my wish either, and since He doesn’t say anything, I’m bearing my exile patiently. That doesn’t stop me from wondering about the future, from walking all around my tent looking for the signs of a tear on one side or the other, or from going from one day to the next always thinking that this will be my last. Doing so helps me pass the time, because during that time, time goes by!

Goodbye, darling little sister. I send you lots of love and kisses. Your little sister
