Darling little sister,

I thank you for your little note wishing me a happy birthday. It’s my turn to offer you my best wishes for 3rd June, a date that your little Céline never forgets. On that day, I’ll take Communion for you and you’ll be in my heart.

Our dear eldest sister is recovering slowly. She still has no appetite but she is nonetheless better. For the past few days, she has be going to the oratory to attend Mass and take Communion, and yesterday and today she came to Vespers, in her wheelchair of course. She is very frail, and growing more and more so, but attends everything! I pray that God will keep her here for a while longer. We’re not strong enough to face parting with her.

Tomorrow at Les Buissonnets, his Lordship will bless a lovely relief that Fr M. Bernard made of Thérèse’s healing, and which was paid for by an American lady for Sr M. of the S.H.’s Jubilee. It has been placed between two windows, under the belvedere. It’s in marble. I’m sending you a photo of it. Don’t give it away, because we don’t have the negative. Fr M. Bernard has it since he took the shot. Nobody was able to take a good one here.

Oh, God has been so generous towards us! Eternity won’t be long enough to thank Him! It’s true, for each and every one of us.

With love, darling little sister, from your little Céline

My arm is a bit better. Writing is still painful. It has now been 3 months since the rheumatism set in.
