 Lisieux 25th February 1939

Dear little sister,

Just a note to reassure you on the subject of the letter that you think went astray. We received the one in which you mention the statue at La Musse and which enclosed a little letter for Sr Marie of the Trinity. It was the one from our Mother, the condolence letter sent to your Mother immediately following the death of your former Superior that was lost, so stop worrying. Thank you for the little letter that you entrusted to Mrs Lecourt; it brought us great pleasure, as do all your letters, because we love you Léonie!!! Lots of love and kisses,

Your little Geneviève.

P.S. by Mother Agnes.

What a palaver that lost letter caused!!!

I can’t understand it. Still, I wrote to your Most Rev. Mother via the post a few days ago. I can rest easy now.

Have a good Lent. Ever deeper union in Christ

Sr Agnes of Jesus
