               Dear little sister,

Thank you very much for your kind and affectionate little letter and for the treats you sent me. They came just in time for our celebration today.

Since you left, I’ve been thinking of you particularly often. I can see you beside the seaside, where the weather is so lovely, and it takes me back to our childhood. Not much time has passed and yet we are old women now. Other youngsters have replaced us. It’s not long now before we’ll be reunited with those we love in heaven. God has surrounded us with so much love and mercy that we needn’t fear the way in which He will steer our boat to shore. Look what is happening. No, God didn’t raise one to glory without blessing the others.

Dear little sister, there’s one other thing. Would you, while you’re in Trouville, send us the house numbers and street names of the properties where Aunt went every year, including the address of Mrs Maudelonde senior but most importantly the addresses of where Thérèse stayed? We’ve received enquiries, and we don’t want to give incorrect details. The same goes for the property in Deauville. Thank you, darling little sister. I send you all my love,

Sr Geneviève of the Holy Face
